Freewriting 101.

what's freewriting?

Freewriting means taking a topic and writing on it for a specified amount of time (usually 5-15 minutes), without stopping to think, plan, correct mistakes, or worry about what you are writing. Just write!

Write whatever comes into your head, whatever the topic makes you think of. It may be a personal reflection, a description, a scene, a dialogue, anything. Some exercises may have specific instructions, but many consist of merely an image or a word. The goal is to get thinking!

If you decide to try our exercises, you should try to stay within the specified time limit, don't take time to think before starting, and write for the entire time. Don't worry if what you're writing doesn't seem to make sense. The point (and the fun part) of freewriting is to see what comes out when you turn off your internal censor.

This is a15 minuthe minute exercise andi and let e me think of a goo d topic. Today is Earth Hour, 200- 2009 here in the Philippines. The country participated for the a for the second annual event. I agree that we can’t reverse global warming. I mean the effects of global warning but the event is to create awareness to the people on how they can actau actually make a difference. WE participated and we turned off the lights from 8:30 pm – ( ( ( 9:30 pm. It’s actually cool. It’s It’s actually a cool idea. I think I hope people rather many people participated and had a little. I hope not only a little concern. I hope they really have unfathomable concern for our environment. The awareness actually started at Syney Sydney Australia. Som So, I only have % 5 minutes and 1 second. Funny how I CAN ONLY WRITE a short exercise. Well this is my first th tu time so, and imagine if you’d be submitting articles like this. THE editors might have a headache. I’m also thinking of the articles due on Monday. I haven’t written a single world. Word. This year I would be contributing articles for grade 3 and grade 4 students about . My . The designated column for me is a A Peaceful World. Last year, I've been writing for grade 5 and Economics. N. Freewrting Exercise #2
10:16- 10:31 pm
So, It’s 10:16 pm and I wanted to make another free writing. This is really fun. Awhile ago, I watched the yahoo site and saw the actrors and actress of the movie, Slumdog Millionaire. They asked the star, the guy who won the shoe show “Who Wante Wants To Be A Millionaire ? “ in Mumbai, India. They asked the guy if it’s true that he’s dating Freidda, Freida.. oh, is that the name of the girl? They said it wasn’t true and the guy said there are many actress ess on Hollywood that he wants to date. He even mentioned that he wanted to see Will Smith and Ja blank blank. I am having a mental block. I’m about to say Jim Carey. But . I haven’t organize my thoughts at the moment. Have you wan watched Slumdog Millionaire. I think they …I forgot to place a question mark again. I think they deserve to win the Oscars. The stars were great. They were really good on their acting, . Especially the kids. They were so adorable and talented. Remmeber the little boy who jumped on the poop just to let the…I think his favorite action star during the that time. He jumped on the poop so he can let him sign his picture. That was actually one of my favorite part. You would really watch the movie and wait what will happen next. You would not even notiv notiv notice that the movi’es lle length is 2 hours. That is actually a long movie but it wasn’t dragging. I also remember the part when … The last part when the contestant. How I wish, I didn’t forget hisss his nama name. His name on the movie is Malik. I suddenly remembered. This is cool. He was asked what’s the name of the other members of the Three Muskett Musketeers. It was kinda funny that it was the last question. But the sad part is his bad boy brother didn’t or wasn’t able to show up. He let the girl go and tha, what I he did was indeed a suicide. He died on a bath tub with lots of money. Talk about prioro priorities and interests in life. Malik didn’t even join the contest because of money. He just wanted the girl to watch him on tv. He’s been trying to look for her. But luck was on his side. He deserve it because he was very der determined and he’s a very good person. End.

Colorgenics Part 3

Name: li'l star

Date: 3/21/2009

Colorgenics Number: 14356207

You are seeking an affectionate relationship, offering fulfilment and happiness. You are capable of powerful emotional enthusiasm. Deep down, you are a kind loving person, always helpful and willing to adapt yourself if necessary to realise the bond of affection that you desire. But you need the same consideration and understanding from others and it is this need that will sometimes hold you back... so let go, trust and you may pleasantly surprised at what happens.

You enjoy taking part in anything that may constitute fun and excitement. You need to be stimulated and need to feel that 'Life is worth living' and you are awaiting that stimulation and you don't particularly care where it comes from!

The way things are, you feel that you are stuck in a rut and there is not much you can do about it. You feel frustrated and inhibited but if you can find a way to let yourself go, you may find that things aren't quite so bad as perhaps you thought they were. One consolation is that since you are an extremely emotional individual, with the right person you may be able to release some of that frustration and tension with some mutual tender loving care.

You are being unduly influenced by the situation that is all around you. You do not like the feeling of loneliness and whatever it is that seems to separate you from others. You know that life can be wonderful and you are anxious to experience life in all its aspects, to live it to the full. You therefore resent any restriction or limitations that are being imposed on you and you insist on going it alone.

You wish to be left in peace... no more conflict and no more differences of opinion. In fact you just don't want to be involved in arguments of any shape or form. All you want is for 'them' to get on with it - and to leave you alone.

Final Straw.

There are times when I start to ask myself if my nonchalance has become an attitude problem. Me…not wanting to care. Me… not wanting to be involved. Me…not wanting to waste any time and effort. I know I have a gift of sensitivity and not wanting to care isn’t as normal as it used to be.
Unfortunately, my sensitivity literally hits me. I become too sensitive to the words which pass thru my ears and that’s practically one reason why I am more at ease with silent type of people. Nope I’m not referring to the mute or deaf. I am referring to the people who don’t react that much. Not because they’re dumb or have no opinion at all but they just sometimes act in moderation. They are seemingly boring but they are not. They are actually fun to be with and it’s amazing when you find out that they have a lot to share and they have interesting passions in life. Well, their exact opposite are sometimes not bearable to be with and they can affect you. Most of them can strike a blow on your day. I don’t say I’m perfect. I have my own mood swings but oftentimes I refuse to react and simply ignore the things that could really piss me off before it affects other people. I am thankful that I am sometimes “deadma”. Everytime I start to wear my invisible earphones and blindfold, I become invincible. I could act as if I don’t care.

I haven’t reached the final straw yet but what if I totally lose my understanding and patience? I used to have this constant reminder about TOLERANCE. I contributed an article last year and it was a serious topic about cultural tolerance. It’s like broadly interpreted as the willingness of individuals to accept the right of everyone to be different. But I am just human and I have a list of the attitudes I’m having much ado:

• The Show-offs: I really get annoyed with people who keep on bragging about themselves and think that they are always better or smarter than other people. Ugh! They suck!

• The OA’s :
They tend to overreact even if it’s not something to react about.

•The Know-It-All.
They know this and that. Oh no, they do not really impress me. Like what Jessica Zafra said, “Intelligence is like an underwear. You should always have it but you need not show it off. You should only take it off when necessary and if you don’t have it, it shows.”. As if they appear on the edge of everything. For godsake, we don’t need your opinion on every topic.

• The Bossy. I could be less assertive at times but it doesn’t mean they no longer need to ask how or what I’m feeling. When I give way, it doesn't mean that everything’s ok. They absolutely lack the sensitivity to care enough for other people.

•.The People with “Me, Myself & I” Syndrome. They are so used to doing stuffs alone. It’s far different from being nonchalant. They deliberately forget about other people and just think of themselves most the time. I just hate self-centered people. Maybe they should find a niche on an island of their own.

•The Members of the Vanity Fair. Honestly, I consider myself “kikay” But there are people whose vanity could sometimes be so irritating. People who would even change outfits several times even if it’s not necessary. I don’t actually understand why. Maybe they need to change their face instead of their outfits.

•The ‘Joker’ Wannabe. They are the people who don’t know how to deliver the right jokes (at the right time). I am not actually hard to please so I can laugh even on the corniest joke but if those can already demoralize you or other people…then it is the time you should not expect me to appreciate what you’re saying.

•The Machine Gun. In layman's terms, we call them the nonstop talker / story-teller. People who would settle on one topic without end are sooooo boring. There are certain topics that you sometimes wish to instantly end but they’re not that sensitive enough to feel that you are no longer interested --- I’m more patient with people who confide in me with their problems. They may repeat their stories for the nth time but I never get tired of listening to them. So that’s a different story.

•The Brat. They should bear in mind that being child at heart is far different from being childish. They are even worse than the mentally retarded. You can't have everything that you want. There are times when they need to grow up and face the bitter reality.

•The Religious Frontliner. I know a lot of people who are like this, They would consider themselves as religious but forget to apply the dogma in real life. They would mock or make fun of other people and it’s not fair. They are the self righteous people who appear more hypocrite to me. I don’t go to mass that often but I must admit, I have a personal relationship with Mr. God.

I’m wondering why people can’t simply act in moderation. I love the sound of laughter. I love the idea that everybody’s having fun. I’m not even kill-joy but there are certain things I’m not into. I’ve been like this and I’ve never had problems in the past. Maybe I just prefer small talks with people. That’s the time I start to feel that I’m having connection with them. People I’ve mentioned above bore (and irritate) me most of the time. I would rather prefer to be alone than to be with them. I think and agree that people who talk too much are the insecure ones because they always seek for the approval of everybody or sometimes they just seek attention. I’ll repeat this quote from Paulo Coehlo’s novel, The Alchemist “People say strange things. Sometimes it’s better to be with the sheep, who don’t say anything. And better still to be alone with one’s books. They tell their incredible stories at the time when you want to hear them. But when you’re talking to people, they say some things that are so strange that you don’t know how to continue the conversation.”

Who's Worth It?

A man who’s defiant on attending concerts with his girlfriend but is actually aware of his role as a boyfriend or a man who accompanies his girlfriend to concerts but such a pain in the ass?

Obviously…you’ll choose the former. I never settle for SUPERFICIAL testimony of love.

***I won't let this pass. I didn't like your tactless prank…Think first everytime you react…
